Phonak Eon Is Here: Meet the Next Generation of AI Hearing Technology

Phonak has just unveiled Eon, the successor to its award-winning Sphere platform — and we think it's the most significant step forward in hearing technology since Sphere itself. Launched globally on 24 August 2026, Eon starts arriving in the UK this September, and here at Hearco we're excited to be among the first independent clinics in Brighton offering patients the chance to try it.

Why Eon Is Different
Eon is built around Phonak's new HyperSonic chip, and the improvements aren't just marketing spin — they change what the hearing aid can physically do for you:
Smaller, lighter, and lasts longer. The HyperSonic chip runs 37% more efficiently than the previous generation, which means Eon is 25% smaller and 20% lighter than Sphere, yet delivers up to 38 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Speech that stands out from noise. Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0 uses deep neural network processing to isolate speech from background noise coming from multiple directions at once. In testing, wearers were twice as likely to understand speech from any direction compared with previous devices — a genuine difference in busy restaurants, family gatherings, and everyday conversation.
An AI that thinks for you. AutoSense OS AI 8.0 continuously reads the environment around you — a quiet room, a windy seafront, a crowded café — and automatically blends the right settings, so you're not stopping to fiddle with an app.
Connects to almost anything. Made-For-All connectivity combines Bluetooth Classic, Roger Direct and Auracast broadcast audio, so Eon pairs with virtually any Bluetooth device and can also tap into Auracast-enabled audio in venues such as theatres, museums and airports.
Built for the British seafront. WindBlock 2.0 cuts wind noise by up to 50 dB and improves signal-to-noise ratio by around 30 dB — a genuinely useful upgrade if you spend time outdoors along the coast.
